The twenty-first edition of the Chía Theatre Festival will offer more than 50 performances in different venues this week.
The event brings together theater groups from Chía, Cundinamarca and Bogotá It will be held until November 6 as a tribute to the maestro Mario Castro.
The festival has scheduled performances in different parts of the municipality, bringing works from guest countries such as Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba and Peru, but also works by theater companies and collectives from the municipality and Cundinamarca.
En la agenda de esta temporada de artes escénicas en Chía encontramos obras como "El alma desnuda" del teatro de Sopó, "Body Raphsody" del teatro Hugo e Inés de Perú, o "Cuentos de un color maravilloso" from the Blue Lizard group of Chía.
The festival's closing event will also feature "Simba, the Lion Prince," a theatrical production with musical interludes based on the story of "The Lion King," full of color, music, and dance for the whole family, which will move viewers to tears, laughter, and reflection.
